GENERAL QUESTIONS Q : What the hell is this comic? A : This comic is based off a Click Game I was creating (it's since been cancelled, the comic by itself is enough work.), which shared the same name as this comic. Natch. Q : But.. why start making it in the first place? A : Why? It's quite simple really. At college there were some extremely long break hours. I started making a comic book adaption of my game simply to keep my sanity. Now? Same reason. I'm doing this to keep my sanity. Q : Is this comic a hentai comic? Theres naked chicks everywhere! A : This question is very outdated, because i've phased on-screen nudity out of the comic entirely to stop the "ew furry" emails. Look, if this was a hentai comic, there'd already of been about 50 sex scenes already. Sheesh, you people are weird. The breast shots are there, simply as part of an ongoing joke: They're random, they're gratuitous, and they help attact male vistors *shot* Due to the amount of negative reaction - I'm in the process of redoing the older pages - which includes the removing of the breasts. Nuff said. It's just a bit of fun, and this comic isn't exactly intended for the younger audience. (I'd say age 15 upwards, based off the UK film age guidence system.. thing.) As said, it was a joke, and this comic certainly is not hentai. Q : So what else makes this comic "15" then? A : Oh, theres swearing here and there, gore, the aformentioned breasts. Not exactly kids stuff is it? Q : Ok.. so it's got some strong stuff in there.. it's a serious comic then right? A : No. Not at all. If you read the comic, you'll notice it's half serious, half comeplete and utter stupidity. My humour is like that. Q : When does Cosmic Hero update? A : To start off with, I was aiming to update daily. How-ever, things got in the way, such as my health problems and college. I'll be trying to get a update timetable sorted, and I apolgise for the constant missed updates. Q : How long does a Cosmic Hero page take to do generally? A : Too long. The new colour pages can take anywhere from 6 to 9 hours to do. Thats alot of hours. In an attempt to break it up: 1 Hour Sketching, 1.30 to 2 hours inking (Hey, theres alot of frigging panels.) More sometimes. Half an hour fixing lineart on the computer. Finally, far too long on the "CG'ing". It may be a simple style, but still takes far too bloody long. I hope you guys appreicate the trouble I go through, XP Q : Hey.. don't I reconise that character? A : Possibly. Not only are there several cameos in the game/comic of famous people and characters, but also from various not-so-famous-but-you-might-reconise-them type of things. General Gagaman is based off Gagaman from Manga Gaga comics (sort of a "Brother" site), Arthur is from waaayyy back from the old ACE Presents game, Project X. Most cameos that might be vaguly familiar are my friends online (or offline, as the case may be), who I have put in the comic, just to say "thank you", and stuff.. Q : Just wondering, but why did you make Jet black? A : ... I can't believe ive actually been asked this. I really can't. Ok , you want a reason? The reason is quite simply "Why not". I have yet to see a webcomic with a African-American as either the main character, or a main character otherwise. No really. Thats one of the reasons - secondly, it suits his character and character design. I'll be attempting to avoid just about every "sterotype" with this - he's just a human - like every other human on the planet. A complete idiot. :P Q : Why the hell do you use furry's! THEY'RE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH!!1! A : Yikes. Calm down dear, its just a webcomic. I use "anthromorphs", mostly because: A) I find them MUCH easier to draw than humans. Look at my human characters. They suck! B) If drawn correctly, they look cute. Take Jane for example. Jane's cute So's Misty.. and.. er.. Electros to an extent. C) I can also exploit their "animal" instincts in pages, which is fun. D) What the hell is wrong with furry characters anyway??! E) Theres far worse than furries on the net. Anime fans. Megaman fans. Those damn people who claim looking at Bridget porn isn't wrong. They're all scum. Furry's are just whiney bastards. Q : Wierdo. A : I heard that. Q : So are you furry? A : Somehow I knew this would come up, I just didnt think it'd come up as often as it did. Jeese people... thats like asking Walt Disney if he was due to the fact the drew cartoon animals. It depends. Give me a definition. Do I go around wearing fursuits and "Yiffing" (or what-ever the hell the phrase is? I honestly to god don't know what it means.) ? Hell no. Does drawing anthromorphic characters (and, cus i'm a guy, being a pervert about it, hench boobs.) make me a furry? Depends, but if thats the label, then so is practically every other artist on the planet. Someone give me a definition, and i'll answer you. In most respects, no, I don't consider myself a "furry". I said most respects. I'm probably about the halfway point, like most of the so called fandom. I know I can contradict myself occasionally on this subject. And I wouldn't upload half the artwork i've drawn for that reason. Do I like Anthro characters? Yes. I think they're fun to draw, look cute, and its just another style of drawing characters. Q : So.. your.. what? A: A nerd. Nuff said. Q : .. wait a minute.. how.. A: It's called Insomia. I've seen things that would turn your hair white. The internet is scary as fucking hell. Q : When does Cosmic Hero update? A : I'm attempting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Friday. As for time of day, its usually late. VERY late. In fact, alot of times its between 12 to 3am. STORYLINE QUESTIONS Q : What's the deal with the Bio-Suit anyway? A : In the comic, the bio-suit is regarded as one of the most powerful weapons in existance. It merges itself with the user, and responses to certain commands given. It also allows for breathing in places such as Under-water, and in Space. It also increases a person's strength and abilities tenfold, and allows for superhuman abilities such as flying (Jet Pack and/or Jet Boots), and inferred and X-ray vision at will. Q : What's so special about Jet? People in the comic keep saying he can do stuff that they can't?! A : Jet as a person is a nobody. Humans as a species are genetically weaker and less intelligent, than compared to alien species. How-ever, while Jet himself isn't special.. there is something different about him. Wait and see. Q : So just why does Misty (and other antrhomorphs) not wear clothes? A : Have you tried putting clothes on your pets? They hate it, and try and rip them off as soon as possible. These animal characters are generally the same, it's extremely uncomfortable, and on top of that, it gets hot in there even without clothes. That's why they have fur. Duh. There are of course some exceptions, as some of the species have found tolerence for clothing. Besides, if theres no laws against not wearing clothes for them (any gentials are pratically covered up anyway), why bother? OTHER QUESTIONS ASKED Q : Just a question to do with the small McFly bashing done recently in issue 133. Surely there are more deserving targets than them? Panic! At The Disco and Girls Aloud do come to mind... Actually I like McFly. But they're still annoying. Unfortunately due to space restraints, the entire joke couldn't posted. Hail originaly said - after McFly's private plane crashed - a 24 hour a day McFly radio station was created, and definately would get annoying very quickly, especially if you kept accidently picking up said signal... Or an alternate in-universe explaination is that McFly music hurts the ears of the Inu. Q : Is Electros gay? A: Yes. I mean look at the guy. Apart from looks, personality wise he is nothing like the sickening sterotype displayed in the media. He's just comfty with it. Q : What was your influences? Ghost was named for and influenced by the Starcraft unit of the same name. The Galaxy Corp Marines were influenced by Warhammer 40'000, my anthromorphic drawing style by developed from drawing Sonic all my life, (perticularly Jane), and many of the marines from Megaman. Storywise, i've always had something like this in my head for no reason at all, its only now i've got it down on paper. The main influence would have to be Warhammer 40'000 though, as Arthur, the first character designed, was directly drawn off a Space Marine. And yes, as I hope people have noticed - theres RedShirts.> Alot of them. The upcoming character Count Electros on the other hand, no fucking clue where he's inspired from, other than his clothing was directly inspired after watching Blackadder the Third so many damn times.
